Job Position: Director Corporate Services
Reports to: Executive Director
Vacancy: one (1) Position.
Duty station: Nakawa Campus.
Job Purpose:
To lead and manage the Corporate Services Department to deliver efficient and effective services in the areas of; Finance, Human Resource Management, Administration, Marketing, Public relations, Procurement, Transport & Logistics.
Key Duties and Responsibilities.
- Providing strategic direction, planning, operational support, decision making and overall performance on matters related to; Finance, Human Resource Management, Administration, Marketing, Public Relations, Procurement, Transport and Logistics.
- Monitor performance standards and service outcomes by ensuring that employees in different sections/ Units work as a coordinated and motivated team.
- Implementing and improving the institute’s financial management systems.
- Advising the Executive Director on the formation, development and application of policy and strategic decisions relating to corporate services.
- Promoting rationalised procurement processes in the Procurement Unit and ensuring that the Unit is efficient in its operations and in compliance with PPDA 2003 Act.
- Contributing to organisational decision making processes, planning and continual improvement to efficiently and effectively deliver programs that support the institute`s priorities.
- Developing strategies for effective implementation of departmental objectives.
- Organising, recruiting, appraising, providing direction, inspiring, managing performance and professional development of staff.
- Overseeing fleet operations to ensure effective Fleet management in accordance with the Institute’s Transport policies & procedures.
- Developing, coordinating and overseeing marketing and Public relations strategies for the institute.
Qualifications and Experience.
- Minimum of Master’s Degree in one or more of the following disciplines; Finance and Accounting, Public Administration, Business Administration or Business Management.
- Other additional professional qualifications will be an added advantage.
- Minimum ten (10) years of work experience, with a minimum of five (5) years in a senior management position, preferably in finance and accounting, Human Resource management or Administration in a private, government or international organisation.
- Proven track record of achieving results in an organisation with demonstrated success in developing systems, processes, policies, procedures.
