Description
To coordinate the Psycho-social services on behalf of Mubende Regional Referral Hospital and ensure the provision of effective and efficient Psycho-social services to HIV/AIDS clients, families, and communities.
Qualifications
Key Result Areas
- Coordinate psychosocial activities at the facility including screening, testing, and counseling
- Coordinate community-based psychosocial activities with PHA Networks, CBO’s, Police CFPU, and Legal aid sessions for AGYW and children.
- Coordinate facility psychosocial teams in ensuring children with index clients, adolescents and youth, pregnant mothers, and key populations are targeted for HTS and ensuring facility targets are met.
- Develop, coordinate and implement strategies for performance management.
- Develop mechanisms for effective tracking and reporting on psychosocial programs at the facility.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Guidance and Counselling
- Certificate in Health Management or related health field, HIV/AIDS Counselling, Training in Gender, Key population and HTS and NEW ART Guidelines
- Should be a registered member of Uganda Counselling Association (UCA)
Job-related experience and knowledge:
- Knowledge in HIV/AIDS care and management
- 5 years’ work clinical counseling and Social work experience, 2 of which are in a supervisory position
- Knowledge of Ministry of health and local government systems
