We are Currently seeking to recruit a highly motivated, technically experienced and competent person, with zeal to perform beyond expectations and excited to Join a (27) years leading steel manufacturer as a Mechanical Engineer.
Responsibilities
• Prepare preventive maintenance schedules.
• Plan for mechanical machine spares and consumables.
• Advise management on anticipated equipment failures.
• Give technical support to the Maintenance mechanical team and Department as a whole.
• Plan and follow up on fabrication work with the fabrication team.
• Prepare monthly evaluation and maintenance reports.
• Monitor water usage and ensuring sufficient supply.
• Oversee and supervise bale press operators.
• Advise management on the periodic inspection and maintenance of the safety and measuring equipment.
• Lead and supervise the activities of the maintenance staff under the job title holder.
• Ensure safety of the Maintenance team and the machine operators.
• Any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager.
Required Qualification, Skills & Experience
• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology from a recognized university.
• A minimum of 3 years working experience as a Mechanical Engineer from a steel and construction company is highly desired.
• Firm grasp of engineering concepts, and experience designing mechanical systems and products.
• Excellent math skills: ability to apply advanced mathematical principles and statistics to solve problems
• Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability
• Ability to communicate effectively and clearly
• Must be self-motivated and a great team worker
