RETAIL AND MICRO FINANCE DIVISION

Job  Title   : Manager Business Banking

Reports to   : Branch Manager

Role      : Plan, review, monitor and direct the growth and quality of branch balance sheet, manage risk, customer experience, revenue, and people in line with the set business plan and the existing policies/procedures

Grade/Rank  : 3

Key Result Areas:

  1. Plan, Implement Review, and Monitor strategies for growth of credit portfolio quality in line with credit policy.
  2. Identify potential customers; market credit products, and operationalize retention strategies for current customer base in line with the credit policy and the customer service standards1
  3. Organise and chair daily branch credit committee meetings for loan approval and recovery in line with credit policy and procedure.
  4. Checklist and disbursing loans in line with approved terms and credit policy.
  5. Provide safe custody for the loan securities and files in line with Credit policy and procedures.
  6. Set targets for the branch credit staff and loan products in line with overall bank targets.
  7. Orienting new staff, refresher training and development of existing staff and management of staff productivity in line with the HR Policy. And conduct staff appraisal in line with HR Staff policy/guidelines.
  8. Build and maintain good relationship with potential and existing customers in line with the bank customer service policy /standard.
  9. Participate in developing annual branch plans, budgets and targets in line with the finance division guidelines and prepare monthly status reports in line with the branch work plan.

        Education and Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or other related/business fields.
  • Training in microfinance,agri-business,branch credit supervison,advanced credit management or any other relevant training  will be an added advantage.

         Required Experience

         At least 6 years of lending experience in a reputable regulated financial institution, 3 of

          which should be at Supervisory or Managerial level.
