Rainbow International School, Kampala, is a 2 – 18 years co-educational day and boarding school serving a mixture of expatriate and Ugandan families based in Kampala, wider Uganda and the East African region. We seek a qualified, enthusiastic and motivated individual for the post of Learning Support Teacher to work in the Primary and Secondary Learning Support departments that assist children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We seek a teacher committed to achieving high academic standards and creating a stimulating and positive classroom ethos that is child-centred and success-orientated. Must have at least three (3) years’ work experience after graduating. Our SEN students in both Primary and Secondary have gaps in reading, mathematics & written expression, as well as difficulties with retention of information. Others have challenges in information processing, social/interpersonal, and fine motor skills. Therefore, a background in Special Needs Education and experience of teaching SEN children are both essential. The successful candidate(s) must be fully vaccinated against covid19 and have an original valid National ID card.
