Laboratory Technologist (02 Positions)

Reports to: Senior Scientist
Station: Kyamulibwa/Lukaya
Job Purpose:
The position will participate in a variety of research and analytical laboratory support activities within MRC/UVRI. The position holder will conduct remote sample processing in the field and ensure optimal pre-analytical sample handling of the DOP study. He/she will make detailed observations, and analyse data according to laboratory protocols/SOPs.
They will ensure effective functioning of the laboratory while adhering to SOPs and health and safety guidelines. The work as part of a scientific team to carry out a wide variety of Basic Science ancillary laboratory tasks and research experiments according to SOPs.
They also provide all the required technical support to enable the laboratory function effectively while adhering to SOPs and health and safety guidelines.
