POSITION: Engineering Officer
REPORTS TO: Program Engineer
LOCATION: Field Based
OVERALL PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB:
The Engineering Officer with support from the Program Engineer, will ensure seamless implementation of civil and other engineering works by providing key supervision to contractors and preparing progress reports during the course of and after the completion of said works.
He/She will also oversee the certification of completed works to ensure that they meet the standards of the district, the donor and other stakeholders.
Relevant Qualifications and Experience:
Diploma in Civil Engineering. A Bachelor’s degree is an added advantage.
Two years’ related experience as clerk of works or assistant engineer monitoring constructions in remote areas, preferably with an NGO.
A proactive person with initiative and drive, honest with a high level of integrity; a team-player with good planning skills
