Roles and Responsibilities
- Be present during clinical assessments that involve intimate examination of patients, to serve as a witness, to assist the patient prepare for the intimate examination and any other role while in the consultation.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients (and their relatives) on arrival at the clinic, keeping them informed of all progresses.
- Good interpersonal skills and knowledge of practices, trends, and principles in assisting different medical procedures.
- Minimize the risk of cross infection between patients, competence and understanding of waste management as per the policy,
- Assess patients and triage accordingly and competence in prioritizing patient care needs and able to respond to changing care requirements.
- Demonstrate ability to assess patients’ need if waiting for long periods and provide appropriate information regarding delays.
- Demonstrate efficient organization in the OPD to minimize patient waiting time; arrange seating in the patients’ waiting area, Arranges the patients’ cards following triage (first come basis) to prevent inappropriate waiting time.
- Prepare and restore environments for medical procedures.
- Cleaning and sterilization of instruments and maintenance of clinical environment adhering protocols and procedures.
