World Vision Uganda (WVU) is a Christian relief, development and advocacy non-government organisation dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. We currently work in 53 districts and have 48 Area Programmes implementing projects in health & nutrition, water, sanitation & hygiene (WASH), livelihoods & resilience, education and child protection. World Vision (WV) is committed to the protection of children and adult beneficiaries from exploitation and abuse and will not employ people whose background is not suitable for working with these beneficiaries. Purpose of the position:
To coordinate with different programme managers to strengthen World Vision brand identity
Key Outputs/Responsibilities.
- Coordinate with different programme managers to strengthen World Vision brand identity in areas including disaster management especially with refugee response and programmess/projects by developing communication products that include digital media, reports, publications, flyers, posters, etc. Design and lay-out of reports and other brand IEC products.
- Create concepts and ideas to visually communicate our brand and goals. Partner with in-house communications team to design concepts for campaigns, events and other special projects
- Engage in internal communications activities for broad exposure to the organisation
Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience.
- University degree in Graphics design, Design specialisation or Mass Communication
- Experience in graphic design and use of graphic design software a must.
- Knowledge in use of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop at an advanced level.
- Strong writing and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to work independently.
- Innovativeness and willingness to learn
