Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Geology and Chemistry; or Geology and Physics; or Geology and Mathematics; or Petroleum Geosciences; or a related field from a recognized University / Institution.
Working Experience
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Senior Geologist (Exploration) for performing the following duties:-
– Participating in geological mapping (geological data acquisition, processing and interpretation) and modelling of sedimentary basins to help promote areas for petroleum exploration;
– Assisting in preparation and packaging of promotional materials;
– Supporting in ensuring safe custody of geological data;
– Participating in the country’s petroleum resource assessment;
– Participating in the laboratory analysis of rock samples and cuttings to evaluate petroleum potential;
– Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
