The Role.
The Internal Audit Assistant will carry out ongoing independent appraisals for different MSUG Channels and functions to evaluate the effectiveness of MSUG policies, procedures, and standards by which the organisation’s financial, physical and information resources are managed.
Working in liaison with teams, to add value by acting as a facilitator in business risk management, conducting value for money reviews for services thereby assisting the organisation in the effective discharge of its responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities.
• Ensure compliance to internal controls, donor agreements, laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Fraud prevention and mitigation
• Monitoring and Reporting of Economy, Efficiency and Effectiveness.
• Ensure the minimization and proactive management of all risks.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in a Business-related course e.g., Economics, Statistics from a recognised institution of higher learning.
Entry level position but relevant work experience will be an added advantage.
Certification in any of the following: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) will be an added advantage
