- Minimum Qualification
- Applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in either Electronic Engineering; or Electrical Engineering; or Telecommunications Engineering; or Communications Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Senior ICT Infrastructure Engineer for performing the following duties:-

– Prescribing appropriate engineering characteristics for ICT infrastructure developments in the Country;
– Providing technical guidance and support assistance to Ministries, Departments, Agencies and Local Governments in all matters relating to ICT Infrastructure installations;
– Regularly identifying issues (of policy in nature) in ICT infrastructure developments/ improvement to be addressed by Government;
– Ensuring that Ministries, Departments, Agencies and Local Governments have in place optimally running ICT infrastructure and connectivity to the national fibre backbone;
– Monitoring and evaluating the implementation of legislations, policies, plans and strategies on cabling networks;
– Conducting research on advances and development of the Communications Technologies and trends;
– Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
