Purpose of the Job:
To direct internal financial processes; monitor costs, sales, spending and budgets; conduct audits; identify past trends and predict future needs; and assist University leaders with financial decisions.
Qualifications and Experience:
The applicable candidate must have the following qualifications, experience and skills:
1. Degree in Finance, Accounting or in a related field
2. Excellent technical accounting skills
3. ACCA, CMA qualification
4. More than 8 years’ experience in a senior financial position
5. Advanced knowledge of excel and acquainted with SAP
6. Successfully aided over three recent unqualified external Audit processes
7. Excellent analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills
8. Able to function in a team and supervise a finance team
9. A mature and practicing Christian who upholds the University’s Core values and Instruments of Identity
Key Competencies & Responsibilities:
1. Aid Management’s financial planning and decision making by providing appropriate financial information and reports
2. Conduct financial analysis and forecasting
3. Develop and implement cost-effective financial policies
4. Mitigate financial risks
5. Monitor auditing and taxation practices
6. Evaluate benefits and compensation packages
7. Ensure the financial health and sustained business growth of the University
8. Any other official duties as may be assigned by the supervisor or Management
