Introduction
Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU) is Uganda’s apex body for the private sector. It is made up of over 320 business associations, corporate bodies and the major public sector agencies that support private sector growth. Since its founding in 1995, PSFU has served as a focal point for private sector advocacy as well as capacity building and continues to sustain a positive policy dialogue with Government on behalf of the private sector. PSFU aims to strengthen Private Sector capacity for effective policy advocacy and market competitiveness nationally, regionally and internationally. Regionally, PSFU is the national focal point for the East African Business Council (EABC) and the COMESA Business Council (CBC).
Job Purpose:
IT Manager is a senior IT professional in charge of the PSFU’s technology strategy, its implementation and is responsible for continuously advancing it. Responsible for leading and coordinating a team of IT experts in the department, the (IT) Manager independently manages ICT infrastructure and services in the Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU).
The position holder ensures the smooth running of our computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines. The IT manager also runs regular checks on network and data security, identifies and acts on opportunities to improve and update software and systems, develops, and implements IT policy and best practice guides for the organization.
The ideal candidate will have advanced technical knowledge and keen interest in adapting and implementing industry’s best practice processes and is a critical stakeholder in collaboratively working cross functionally to strengthen internal controls and processes.
